Walk 2 - The Flaming City

Meet at Tower Hill Tube Station exit, by the black painted telephone box in front of Trinity Square Gardens.
Please see maps below.

You will see where The Great Fire of London started in Pudding Lane and walk through the streets to find out how 4/5ths of London was destroyed. Samuel Pepys, the famous diarist, described the Great Fire in his diary. This walk also includes a visit to St Olave's Church, (Church Services permitting). Inside this Medieval Church are four swordrests, a 17th Century Wren pulpit and a plaque which marks the site of the doorway that led to the gallery into the Navy Office where Samuel Pepys worked. You'll experience the narrow alleyways of the Medieval City.
